  • Math: We provide individualized math instruction at any level from basic skills to the more complex including Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Calculus and Statistics.
  • English & Reading: Our individualized reading instruction helps build word recognition skills, increased reading fluency and comprehension. Our teachers provide students with the tools to better understand information presented in written form, including understanding textbook assignments, directions on exams, labs and homework.
  • Study Skills / Organizational Skill: Our individualized study skills program will teach your child competency in time management, organization, learning styles, concentration, memory, and note-taking. Our tutors will teach strategies that will help your child better learn and retain lessons.
  • Science: We also offer help in understanting many different science topics at the basic and college level.
  • Social Studies: We offer tutoring in history, geography, literature and the arts.
  • Foreign Language: If you are learning Spanish, German, or French, we have tutors who can help you.
  • Test Prep: Our tutors offer individuallize test prep for the ACT, SAT, GRE, MCAT and standardized state exams.

    About Us:
    Harvis Educational Learning Program began (in 2005) as my vision to help students develop better learning skills which would build their confidence and self-esteem and so result in achieving greater academic success. I started 'H.E.L.P.' to offer families the service of a local, family owned business of educators, that truly understand the frustrations as well as positive strategies necessary to help children gain the tools for success. I have now been employed as a Special Education Teacher for 13 years, with a Masters of Education degree. I am also Certified in Elementary Education, Social Studies and Psychology. I have been teaching students with various emotional and learning disabilities. My philosophy is that each child is a unique person with a variety of skills that need to be identified so that the proper strategies can be used to help gain the confidence for them to succeed.
