Tutor-pages.com; to find a tutor or get homework help.

On this webpage there are many tools that you can use, such as online graphing utilities, unit conversion calculators, chemical equation balancing tools, etc. All of these tools are mostly for homework help and education and I hope you find them useful. Also, if you are a tutor with a laptop, these tools will greatly help you to make the most of your time when you're tutoring a student.

If there are any tools you would like to add, please send an email to me: admin@tutor-pages.com.

Math Tools - Chemistry Tools - Physics Tools

Math Tools:

Online Graphing Calculator - This graphing utility will plot y as a function of x and it also has zoom capabilities that make it very useful.

Statistics Table Calculator - This will allow you to calculate z-values, t-values, and chi-square-values from their probabilities, and vice versa. This is a very useful tool for anyone taking statistics, either intro or advanced.

3D-Surface Grapher. (EXCEL UTILITY.) An Excel file that allow you to plot 3D surfaces with many types of functions. Plots z as a function of x and y. The rotation and 'zoom' is a bit slow for my tastes, but it's a simple Excel utility that anyone with MS Excel can use.

Function Grapher and Derivative Grapher. (EXCEL UTILITY.) A simple Excel file that plots functions AND the 1st and 2nd derivative of those functions. Very easy to use!

Function Grapher. (EXCEL UTILITY.) A simple graphing utility for Excel. Plots y as a function of x.

Matrix-Tool. (EXCEL UTILITY.) Excel file that allows you to perform various row operations on a matrix and pivot on any element in the matrix. Ideal for linear algebra or anyone beginning to study matrices.

Riemann Sum Calculator and Grapher. (EXCEL UTILITY.) This Excel utility allows you to calculate the left, right and mid-point Riemann sums of most any function. Just enter your function, the number of intervals, and it does all the tedious calculations for you. Great for calculus students!

Simplex Tableau Solver - This program will solve a simplex tableau, minimizing cost, maximizing profit, etc. This is a great tool for students taking finite math or business math.

Online College Algebra Book w/ Video Lectures! The title speaks for itself!

Chemistry Tools:

Chemical Equation Balancer: Enter a chemical equation to balance and it will give you the balanced reaction.

Molar Mass Calculator: Enter a molecular formula and it will give you the molar mass (also known as the formula weight or molecular weight) in units of grams per mole. Also it will calculate the percent composition of the compound.

Acid & Base Dissociation Constants. Ka and Kb values for many common weak acids and weak bases. You need a table like this if you are studying acid-base equilibria.

Chemistry Tables Thermodynamic data, specific heats, Ka, Kb, Ksp, Reduction Potentials, etc.

Alphabetical list of the elements. For the beginning chemistry student, this is good to have because it's easy to look up information with this. Also has the atomic weights.

Periodic Table of the Elements. Needs no explanation. The atomic number and atomic weights of the elements. This periodic table rounds off the atomic weights a bit too much for my tastes, but you might like it.

Conversion Factors. A short list of basic conversion factors used in chemistry.

Fundamental Constants. Just a few fundamental constants. You should already have these in your chemistry book.

Solubility Constants. Ksp values for many different ionic solids.

Chemistry Thermodynamics Table. Standard enthalpy of formation, free energy of formation, and entropy of formation of many different compounds.
